6.5 Business Continuity and Crisis Management

Site level emergency response plan are developed based on the actual site operation requirement that includes the following: • Fire emergency response plan. • In Place Protection Plan • Arson Prevention Plan • Response plan for high-risk activities such as confined space, work at height, use of mobile elevated working platform, chemical spillage. Response plan for nationwide emergency event is formulated for all operations: • Pandemic management and response plan. • Haze management and response plan. The Business Continuity and Crisis Management Team is structured to ensure that critical business processes are identified, and appropriate business continuity strategies and recovery procedures are invoked. Our Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plan encompass a range of specific protocols for dealing with the requirements of the crisis and business continuity, from the planning/preparedness during peace time, response to event, recovery and full restoration of operations are considered and appropriate business continuity strategies are adopted. The plan ensures the ability of the business to function effectively in the event of an interruption, due to the loss of information, loss of personnel, or loss of access to information and facilities.

C&W achieved the ISO 22301 certification in 2017 based on our Business Continuity Management (BCM) program for operations in Singapore. Our business continuity management (BCM) manual satisfies the requirements and intent of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) – ISO 22301:2012 Certification in the areas of real estate management services and project development and management services. The program aims to manage and minimise disruptions to critical business functions following a disruptive incident. This ensures that we continually maintain an acceptable level of service to our customers and preserve the trust and confidence they have in us. This certification enables C&W to create effective operational business continuity plans (BCP) that are fit for purpose and align our business continuity plans with C&W strategic organizational objectives.
