Whilst, since the pandemic, there has been a move back towards in-store completion of the booking process, this is more prominent in males compared with females. This reflects data produced from the previous question on methods of contacting a store. It seems that men are more encouraged to go back into a store since the pandemic, while more women would rather remain online.

While there was a shift towards acceptance of technology in 2021 during the pandemic, the results for this year have not changed as significantly. A total of 20% of respondents were unsure, which is a lot compared to other questions in the survey. Given there is very little of this technology currently being used in the UK, it could be that customers need to have greater exposure to the technology available for them to understand if it is a service that appeals to them. Respondents were also asked which one, if any, of the following ways would they prefer to complete the booking process?
