8 OPERATORS, 13 DATA CENTRES 10% VACANCY RATE Prague stands out as one of the European Union's prime cities due to its exceptional location, seamlessly connected to major European peering nodes through a robust fiber-optic network, making it highly attractive for digital enterprises. The imminent rollout of 5G technology across Prague is expected to drive an increased demand for data processing and storage, stemming from the influx of connected devices utilized by businesses and consumers alike. Notably, the region is experiencing a surge in investments from telecommunications companies (telcos) and hyperscale data centre operators. About 91% of the operational data centre capacity is currently located in Prague and an additional 29MW of capacity is planned to accommodate rapid growth in the sector. In May 2023, T-Mobile made a significant announcement regarding the expansion of its DC7 facility, located in Prague's Prague 15 district, in direct response to the surging demand for data centre services. This expansion is set to offer an additional 3MW of capacity, and further developments are in progress Regarding inland connectivity, the Czech Republic is witnessing remarkable growth, exemplified by the presence of numerous internet exchange points, including Sazecska 10, Tiskarska 10, DC Nagano CETIN, Datacenter Kounicova, Datacenter Autoninska, Mahlerovy sady 1, among others. The Czech government has demonstrated unwavering support for the technology sector, with the implementation of policies and incentives aimed at attracting investments in IT infrastructure and fostering the industry's expansion. 29MW IN OPERATION 0MW UC / 4MW PLANNED
