2. COMPETITIVE LABOUR AND LIVING COSTS

The rapid growth in salaries in the Łódź province in the last two years was driven by macroeconomic factors such as high inflation and minimum wage increases. This occurred throughout Poland and all its regions. In 2023, the monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector in the Łódź province rose on average by 13% year-on-year. In June 2023, it averaged PLN 6,682, or EUR 1,501 or USD 1,627 USD (according to the exchange rates of the National Bank of Poland as of the end of June 2023), and was the ninth highest among all the provinces in Poland.

Competitive salaries go hand in hand with competitive living costs, which is also supported by attractive property prices compared to other locations across Poland. The combination of recreational, development, educational opportunities and access to various services are all important factors making Łódź and the Łódź province the right place to work and live in.
