DAY ONE & BEYOND

Considerations & Discussion Points • Training of security officers on how to best handle non-compliant visitors • Monitoring and enforcing health and safety measures

• Tenant awareness of all building protocols to avoid frustrating or negative experiences • Explore alternative protocols to ID and badge exchange; is it necessary to have security guards take IDs? • Explore capabilities of building visitor systems (Building Engines, Workspeed, Angus, etc) for tenants to upload photos of visitors when registering visitors through the system—some providers have already started modifying their systems to allow for this feature • Explore simple and inexpensive applications such as ProxyClick Systems that provide self- check in alternatives – https://www.proxyclick.com/ CONSIDERATIONS—APPLYING THE GUIDELINES Example: In the following lobby, a small entrance benefits from a separate egress corridor. The plan demonstrates an elongated queuing for elevators and proposes two out of three elevators to carry incoming traffic in the morning and switching in the afternoon. Seating areas would be cordoned off, but may provide space for hand sanitizer stations and/or other PPE pick up/ discard. The security desk is proposed to have a plexiglass screen to maintain distance from swipe card occupant check-ins.
