PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE Rachel Casanova joined Cushman &Wakefield in 2019 as Senior Managing Director, Workplace Innovation. Prior to joining the firm she founded Balansett after working in the field of Workplace Strategy for the last 23 years, helping companies transform their real estate assets in order to reinforce long-term business strategies, corporate culture, and increasingly integrated space, technology, and performance goals. During the course of her career, she has had an opportunity to address workplace-related advances frommultiple vantage points—working within an end user environment, commercial furniture manufacturer, multiple architectural firms and, most recently, leading the Connected Spaces global practice at a digital marketing and communications company. Her portfolio spans strategic and occupancy planning, programming, culture driven workplace strategy, and workplace standards development. She also has deep experience in transition management for today’s evolving workplaces. Her clients span legal firms, professional services, technology, nonprofits, and architectural firms. She is frequently called upon as a subject matter expert and has contributed regularly to CoreNet audiences in conferences and education seminars. She has recently spoken at Worktech. RealComm, CRE Tech, Cornell University, NYU, IIDA Facility Forum, and Neocon.
