The Atlanta team developed our guiding principles: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Creativity and Passion, and each month at the All-Team Meeting a team member that embodies one of the five principles is chosen by the previous month’s winner and the baseball bat is passed down.

TALKING WITH TALENT TALKING WITH TALENT
Tell us a little about yourself: I am an Atlanta native. I grew up in Sandy Springs (ITP) and went to Riverwood High School. I traveled a long way across the state to Athens to attend the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) where I majored in Real Estate and minored in Spanish. I met my husband after a UGA/Auburn game in Athens. Andy went to Auburn and our relationship has never been tested like it will be on Saturday! I have worked since I was 12, I started with babysitting, then waitressed at a retirement home. I continued to work in college where I waitressed and promoted concerts for JoMo Entertainment in exchange for free concert tickets. I have always loved music although I can’t play anything. My husband and I try to attend a show whenever we can, which is a little harder nowadays since we have two little girls, Hayden (4) and Drew (2 next week!). Tell us about your role at Cushman & Wakefield. What’s a typical day like for you at the office? I started my career with Cushman & Wakefield straight out of college. I was hired as a Research Associate by James Phillpott and assigned to track the industrial market. I was quickly hired out of
Research to join the former GOS where I started on the transaction side of the business. I was working with Ray Stache a great deal and joined his team full-time almost 10 years ago. Tell us about a moment in your career or an achievement that you are particularly proud of. In July, I was promoted to lead
Lisa Pittman Director/Industrial Tenant Representation Lead
the industrial tenant rep team which has been an exciting and new challenge with
my first foray into management. It has been eye opening to see the other side of the business and I have learned a ton! Is there a motto or quote you live by? I’m constantly reminding myself to slow down. If we ever find ourselves in a Lisa Pittman Trivia Contest, what’s something we should know? I love a good Spotify war!

TALKING WITH TALENT
Amy Upchurch Project Manager
Tell us a little about yourself (where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your hobbies and interests, etc.) I was born and raised in Georgia and grew up just south of Atlanta in Fairburn. Weekends and summers were spent on Lake Oconee and being on the water is part of my soul. There’s nothing more relaxing! My husband, Jess, and I live in Newnan and have five children. Josie who is a junior at UGA, Logan a senior in high school, Grayson a junior, Weslee a sophomore, Thomas who is in second grade and our dog, Matty (Ice). A Falcons and Dawgs fan, this is the most wonderful time of the year! We spend as much time on the on the water as we can, enjoying Lake Oconee and flat fishing in Suwannee, Florida. A day spent reeling in big reds is pretty close to heaven. I love music – all genres- and have a very diverse play list. Tell us about your role at Cushman & Wakefield. What’s a typical day like for you at the office? I am a project manager in Cushman’s PDS department. Being a part of the Metro Atlanta AT&T team, a typical day isn’t always so typical. It could be spent in the office or out
in the Metro Atlanta AT&T buildings managing buildouts and moves. Typically, we are coordinating move management, refresh work, buildouts and budget/accounting functions for our projects. We have a lot of fun, work hard and have a fantastic team! Tell us about a moment in your career or an achievement that you are particularly proud of. I am extremely proud to work alongside such great talent and leadership here at Cushman. It’s a privilege to be part of such a stellar team. My previous career was in education and stepping into CRE was like learning a different language. It has been rewarding, I have learned so much and I enjoy every minute of it!
Is there a quote or motto you live by? Work hard, play hard.
If we ever find ourselves in an Amy Upchurch Trivia Contest what’s something we should definitely know? I’m an only child and only grandchild. I have never missed an Oscar de la Hoya fight (I own his CD too – bet you didn’t know he was a singer!)
