PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

Matt Poreba leads Industrial Strategic Consulting. He specializes in corporate location-decision advisory for manufacturing and distribution facilities. He has completed over 100 manufacturing/distribution center location studies, with 14 years of experience across diverse industries, geographies, and types of location decisions. Matt helps companies realize an ongoing competitive advantage through optimal location decisions. Matt’s primary responsibilities are to structure and manage corporate location strategy and site selection projects in an integrated and holistic fashion. He specializes in managing multi-functional corporate and third-party teams in event-driven initiatives with significant capital expenditure, operational, and timeline risk implications by devising and executing methodologies that maximize efficiency and minimize risk throughout the location-decision-making process. Matt’s areas of expertise include assessments of operating costs and conditions, labor availability/suitability, supply chain and logistics costs/service, and infrastructure and real estate suitability, as well as program management and decision modeling. While Matt’s primary focus is within the U.S., he has developed location-decision- related analyses for industrial clients in countries around the world, including in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. Matt is based in Washington, DC and joined C&W’s Strategic Consulting practice in 2008. Prior to C&W, Matt worked various roles related to supply chain and operations improvement.
