Omar Acosta | Tampa Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

Crumble and cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat until browned. Sauté onions and mushrooms along with sausage if you want. Stir in flour until fully dissolved/absorbed. Gradually stir in milk. Cook until thick and bubbly. Season with salt and pepper, and whatever else you want. Serve over whatever you want. I’ve used biscuits, hash browns, steak, etc. ENJOY! Preparation Generic Version 2 lbs. Sausage – I usually mix it up lb.. Turkey sausage, & 1lb Pork Sage or Pork Hot sausage ½ cup Flour 4 cups Whole Milk Salt & Pepper to taste

Extra Ingredients (NON-Generic version) 1 Lg Onion – diced 1 lb. Mushrooms – chopped 1 pinch of Cayenne (or more if you like it hotter)
