11.4.6: Record Keeping & Reports The Fire & Life Safety Discipline Binder shall be maintained on-site for organizing and documenting compliance with the requirements relating to the maintenance and operation of the fire protection and life safety systems at the property. It is recommended to keep copies of these documents on Office 365 for back-up purposes. This would include: • Documentation of all inspection and testing on the fire and life safety systems, emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, elevators, etc. • Documentation of repairs of any deficiencies identified in the testing report • Evacuation planning and emergency preparedness training • Fire drills and staff training

Reports and documents are to include but are not limited to what has been listed in section 11.4.1.

11.4.7: Training The property manager and chief engineer shall conduct an annual review of the Fire & Life Safety Discipline and site-specific procedures with the property management team. All parties should understand their role in the event of a true emergency.

All training should be logged to identify dates, training topics, and participants in the training. The frequency of the training should meet the needs of facility type and use. The Chief Engineer should provide on-site training to after-hours personnel, which may include engineering, security, or cleaning staff.
