1.0 Objective To provide guidance for general cleaning and maintenance requirements for the laboratories. 2.0 Scope This procedure is applicable to the ___________________________ 3.0 Definitions and Abbreviations Term / Abbreviation Definition IPA Isopropyl Alcohol PM Preventative Maintenance PPE Personal Protective Equipment QC Quality Control SOP Standard Operating Procedure Environmental, Health, and Safety • Wear appropriate PPE including a lab coat and safety glasses/goggles. • Cleaning with 10% bleach solution and Spor-Klenz can only be performed in the same cleaning if there is an adequate water rinse and 70% IPA wipe down in between the two cleaning agents. Spor-Klenz and 10% bleach, when combined, can produce chlorine gas and is a health hazard. The preferred cleaning method is to choose one or the other when possible. 4.0 Requirements 4.1
