5.5.1.13 WET the MOP in the Apply bucket. 5.5.1.4 WRING mop into the Used bucket. 5.5.1.5 APPLY mop to surface. 5.5.1.6 MOP in one DIRECTION with overlapping strokes, starting from the furthest side of the room from the exit. 5.5.1.7 RINSE the MOP in the Rinse bucket. 5.5.1.8 WRING mop into Used bucket. 5.5.1.9 Continuously INSPECT the mop head for signs of wear or soil. • If the mop head shows signs of wear or soil, REPLACE the mop head. 5.5.1.10 Continuously INSPECT the Apply or Rinse buckets: • DISCARD and REPLACE the mop head if the Apply or Rinse bucket solutions are visibly dirty. PREPARE new disinfectant in the Apply bucket. • During reformulation of disinfectant AVOID traveling through areas that have been already disinfected. 5.5.1.11 CHANGE mopping solutions after cleaning a suite or after 750 sq. ft (at a minimum). 5.5.1.12 RTU Disinfectants • ENSURE that all vendor prepared solutions, pre-saturated wipes, spray cans, or bottles, are qualified and labeled per Tagging Requirements for Manufacturing SOP. • DISCARD any solutions or materials that have reached their expiry.
