In 2013 to 2014, installations of new LED fittings to 265 blocks and 30 multi-storey car parks in Marine Parade Town were carried out progressively. Management also extended the installation of motion sensors to dim the LED lightings to all staircases. The corridors of residential blocks and multi-storey car parks were fitted with built-in timers to dim the LED lightings to 50% from 12 midnight to 6am for additional energy conservation. 66% of the managed blocks and multi-storey car parks have been retrofitted with new LED fittings and this is in addition to the retrofitting of LED lamps that has been completed at the common areas such as open spaces and linkways.
