One of the few buildings to survive the 1904 fire, and original headquarters to the oldest investment banking firm in the US, The Alexander Brown Building will become home to a new restaurant called simply “The A.B.” The development team, which includes descendants of the Alex Brown family, will restore and bring back to life all of the original

architectural features such as the brick facade with granite trim, mahogany paneling, calacatta marble floors and columns. The most notable interior feature is the incredible Tiffany-style stained glass dome skylight. The menu will include sophisticated American cuisine with a nod to local Baltimore favorites like crab cakes and Utz potato chips.

R&R Taqueria gained national recognition for being one of the country’s five best restaurants for Mexican food after being featured on The Food Network. Chef and Owner Rodrigo ‘Rod’ Albarran prides himself on his creative, authentic Mexican dishes made from scratch like tacos al pastor, tableside guacamole and traditional handmade tamales. He is even developing his own line of tequila with ingredients sourced from Mexico

to be served at his restaurants. Chef Rod moved to Maryland from Mexico City when he was 10, and with his downtown location, he wanted it to feel like he shipped a piece of Mexico to Baltimore, using real shipping containers and vibrant colors to decorate the space.
