Brokerage revenue from dual agency transactions
IF-RS-510a.1
Dual agency occurs when Cushman & Wakefield professionals represent both the owner and prospect with respect to the same property. Our policy is that such dual agency must be properly disclosed and consented to by both the owner and prospect (in accordance with applicable law and our policy). If disclosure is not required by local law, our policy on dual agency still requires our professionals to inform both the prospect and owner immediately upon learning of dual agency. Following notification, the professionals involved are required to either receive express, written approval or withdraw from the transaction. If dual agency is approved, our policy requires steps be taken to ensure loyalty and good faith toward both parties.
