In fact, only 10% of firms think that the partner structure will be beyond recognition 10 years from now when compared with the structures present in firms today. • A long-held status symbol for attorneys is on the brink of fading into the past as firms become more open to eliminating private offices in favor of activity-based settings and hoteling. Forty percent of respondents indicate that private offices may become less common and replaced by a variety of work settings within the next five years, up from 22% last year. However, law firms currently have not shifted away from offices for attorneys.
